Brighton Square Redevelopment Works

Brighton Square redevlopment

The Gyoury Self Partnership has been appointed by Centurion Group – owner of Brighton Square in The Lanes, Brighton – to provide structural engineering designs for redevelopment works to the square’s ‘North Block’. The works involve transforming an existing row of shops into a destination restaurant, which will feature an extensive outdoor seating area.

Alterations include removal of a large proportion of the ground floor loadbearing walls and justification of an existing concrete podium slab, on which two-storeys of residential properties are supported. The new ground floor business unit will be expanded to the rear through the addition of a single-storey extension.

The works form part of a major refurbishment programme to modernise this important area within the Brighton Lanes. The current phase of work was designed by architects Morgan Carn Partnership and is due for completion later this year.
