Work has commenced on a development of nine residential properties on the former site of The Elms pub in Broadwater Street East, Worthing.
The main pub building, which was constructed in the 1920’s, is currently undergoing conversion into five flats. A further four three-bedroom new-build terraced homes and associated car parking will be constructed to the rear of the site.
Gyoury Self is providing full structural engineering services for all aspects of the refurbishment and new build works. We have also provided structural reporting towards the CRL Warranty for construction and structural defects insurance.
The site is being by developed by Paul Craig and the main contractor is Showtec, a Shoreham based company specialised in the construction and refitting of pubs, clubs and restaurants. The project architects are KTA Limited.
Planning was approved in summer 2016 by Worthing Borough Council and the new development is due for completion later this year.
