We are delighted to be providing engineering services for a new build NHS nursery at the Conquest Hospital in St. Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings, East Sussex.
Earlier this week, a ground breaking ceremony took place to mark the start of construction. Jacquie Fuller, Acting Lead Staff Engagement and Wellbeing being together with children from the nursery and Nursery Manager, Nicola Sullivan turned the first turf, while members of the project team, contractors, and architects looked on.
The new purpose built nursery will provide 55 places a day for children aged 4 months to 8 years whose parents work for East Sussex Healthcare Trust or the NHS. It will be built using a modular construction assembled on site, at the southern end of the Conquest Hospital site towards Little Ridge Avenue.
The new nursery will offer a fully accessible learning environment for children with enclosed outside play facilities for different age groups.
We were so pleased to have turned the first turf on this very exciting project. This purpose built nursery will improve our facilities and the environment where we provide care and education for the children of NHS staff. Jacquie Fuller, Acting Lead for Staff Engagement and Wellbeing
The Conquest Hospital is one of several projects we are currently undertaking for NHS Trusts across Sussex. We look forward to following progress of the project and sharing site updates.
