Our Lidl supermarket project in Tunbridge Wells has now completed and the new store is open to the public.
The new supermarket was part of a phased project to sub-divide and redevelop an existing Homebase store at Broadwater Lane site. The refurbished Homebase store was reopened at the end of last year. For more details of this project, click here.
Around 40 new jobs have been created at the new store, which includes a bakery, customer toilets and parking for both cars and bicycles.
Gyoury Self was appointed by Litchford Consulting to provide structural and civil engineering for the project. The contractor was Faircloth Construction.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property Adam Forsdick said:
“We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing our new store to Tunbridge Wells.
“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs in the area, and we are proud to serve the local community at this time.”
