New Hall for Lancing College

Lancing College steel frame

Gyoury Self Partnership has been appointed by Lancing College to carry out structural and civil engineering designs for a £2m state-of-the-art, multi-purpose building in the grounds of their prep school at The Droveway, Hove.

Revit drawing of new school facility at Lancing CollegeThe new facility will include a multi-purpose school hall, changing rooms and kitchen, a small gallery and foyer space. The main hall will provide space for school assemblies and dining, as well as indoor sports and cultural activities. It will also be available to the local community for meetings and events.

Designed by award-winning architects Hazle McCormack Young (HMY Architects), the energy-efficient two-storey building is predominantly steel-framed and features exposed ‘Glulam’ timber rafters over the main hall.

Foundations have been installed and erection of the steel frame is now complete.

We look forward to the new hall being of benefit to our pupils and parents as well as the wider local community. Lancing Prep at Hove is an important part of the Lancing College family of schools and investing in these facilities will ensure that we can offer the best possible early education to our growing number of pupils.
