Gyoury Self wishes a warm welcome to Peter Baker who has joined our engineering team in Fareham, Hampshire.
As a Chartered Civil Engineer, Peter has 40 years’ experience in designing, developing, coordinating, managing and directing the designs of small to large complex multi-disciplinary structural and civil engineering projects.
With a wealth of experience under his belt, Peter will be stepping directly into a senior role in the Fareham office and taking the lead on key engineering projects.
Prior to joining Gyoury Self, Peter has held a number of senior roles and leadership positions with reputable engineering companies, including White Young Green (Tetra Tech), Jacobs Engineering and Ove Arup. Over the years he has helped engineer and deliver numerous projects for clients including private developers, D&B contractors the NHS, Network Rail, Highways England and various County and District Councils.
Outside of work, Peter can be found pursuing his passion for sailing and diving. He is qualified as a Yachtmaster/Master of Yachts commercial skipper, a Powerboat skipper and a PADI open water diver.
I am delighted to have Peter on board in a principal role. As a highly skilled and experienced engineer, I am confident he will hit the ground running during this particularly busy period. Richard Aston, Gyoury Self Partner
