Some uplifting news! A recent project to update the Imaging Department at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath has been successfully delivered and the radiographers are very happy to have the new equipment up and running.
We were appointed by Pilbeam Construction to provide structural feasibility reporting for the refurbishment project at the main Imaging Department – a project commissioned by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
It involved reconfiguration of the existing imaging facilities and installation of a new CT scanner. Having evaluated the existing structure, we were able to advise on necessary strengthening works to the floor and ceiling to safely support the highly-sensitive (and expensive) medical scanner.
This is one of several NHS projects we are currently engineering in Sussex.
