Project Description

Client: Avtrade (Leading) Ltd
Location: Albourne, West Sussex
Year Completed: 2004
Contractor: A & F Pilbeam Construction
Architect: Crowther Associates
Contract value: £1.8 Million

Concorde House is set in a rural environment on Avtrade’s extensive Aviation Trading Estate site in Albourne. The building is a single storey, steel portal-framed warehouse with two-storey, front offices and internal ‘lightweight’ mezzanine. The project included external works and associated infrastructure.

Surface water run off from the site had to be attenuated and stored prior to discharge via a private drain below the adjacent golf club, down to a pond and stream network. This was achieved by the use of a balancing pond that also formed part of the landscaping.
