Residential Development, Newhaven

Architects drawing of apartments

We are currently providing full structural and civil engineering services for a new residential development in Newhaven, West Sussex.

Commissioned by Denton Road Developments, the new build scheme will deliver ten new homes on a deeply-sloping site.

The development takes the form of eight 3-storey, semi-detached houses arranged in a terrace fronting onto Denton Road, plus an additional pair of semi-detached houses on the upper part of the site, with access off of Denton Drive.

Retaining wall constructionThe buildings all have timber framed superstructures which are being designed and constructed offsite by specialist supplier OFP Timberframes.

Due to the steeply sloping nature of the site, substantial retaining walls will be required and the Anderton Stepoc concrete shuttering system is being used as it offers a cost-effective high performance solution in these circumstances.

The Denton Road development is one of two residential projects we are currently working on for this client alongside Crowther Associates Architects and builders JPS Contractors. For details of the Clarence Road residential development, click here.

The project is currently under construction on site and is due for completion later this year.

This is the second residential development we have engineered in the Denton area in recent years. To view the Tide Mills residential development at Denton Corner, click here.
