Our latest retail project will provide a new centrally-located Lidl supermarket on Lord’s Hill in Coleford, Gloucestershire.
As the main contractor, Soldi Construction has appointed Goury Self to provide full structural and civil engineering design services alongside project architects Roberts Limbrick. Soldi has already successfully delivered a number of Lidl stores across the South of England since 2014.
The new Coleford Lidl will have a 1,129 square metre sales area, and feature facilities including a bakery and customer toilets.
A new car park will be incorporated into the site, providing 76 spaces including five disabled and eight parent/toddler spaces, and parking for bicycles.
The branch represents a multi-million pound investment in the market town and will provide employment for a staff of 40 people, made up of 15 full-time and 25 part-time employees.
During public consultation, Coleford residents responded favourably to the prospect of a centrally-located budget supermarket and the planning application gained the full approval of councillors on the Forest of Dean District Council planning committee.
