Steel Connection Design
A £33m re-development scheme aimed at creating a 21st century independent education campus. Over an acre of land transformed to accommodate new facilities including 32 state-of-the-art classrooms, a sports centre, dining halls and pavilion.
The Gyoury Self team in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex provided full structural and civil engineering work throughout this extensive phased development. All steel connection design and detailing was carried out by the Gyoury Self team in Fareham, Hampshire.
The second phase included a new sports complex and dining halls constructed on a steel frame supporting precast concrete floors. The dining hall is located above the main sports hall, supported on six 22 metre-long prefabricated clear span steel trusses.
The Gyoury Self team in Hampshire provided all steel connection design and detailing for this extensive 4-storey steel frame structure. All structural design and detailing was undertaken using Revit to produce an integrated BIM model.
