There is plenty of activity on site at our latest light industrial project at the Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate in Ashford, Kent.
The site is currently being cleared for a new Builders’ Merchant development comprising two steel portal framed buildings. The main depot building will act as open storage for materials as well as an HGV parking and turning area. The second building will be split into two units for offices and a ground floor warehouse. The development also includes associated parking for cars and larger vehicles.
The former site of historic aviation manufacturer Houchin was acquired by Quinn Estates for development and the existing low-quality structures are being replaced with more energy efficient light industrial buildings. Construction of the new steel frames will commence once site clearance has been completed.
Gyoury Self was commissioned by Kent Structures Limited to provide structural engineering services for the project. The steel frame is being fabricated by Southfield Structural Services.
