It has been our pleasure to assist Kier Construction with some engineering input on refurbishment works at the new Haywards Heath College in West Sussex.
We are familiar with the building, as we had previously been appointed by Kier over a decade ago to provide structural and civil engineering designs as part of a five-year phased redevelopment project at the former Central Sussex College campus.
We dipped into our design archives to retrieve the original engineering details for refurbishment and improvement works to the North Eastern studio pod. This is one of two distinctive pods designed by Lee Evans Partnership architects as a feature of the main building.
Haywards Heath College is part of the Chichester College Group (CCG), the largest college group in Sussex with colleges in Brinsbury, Chichester, Crawley and Worthing. We wish them every success with the re-opening of the college in September.
