We are delighted to announce that planning has been approved for our latest residential development project at Montpelier Place in central Brighton and Hove, East Sussex.
Commissioned by Mortar Nova, the scheme involves demolition of the existing 1960’s Montpelier Baptist Church building – which currently lies in a derelict and vandalised condition – to make way for three new residential blocks comprising 5 town houses, 19 apartments and a ground floor D1 commercial unit.
Located within the Montpelier and Clifton Hill Conservation Area, the development site lies immediately adjacent to a Grade II* Listed terrace with further Grade II Listed Buildings opposite. With that in mind, the new buildings have been sympathetically designed by Crowther Associates Architects to blend with surrounding architecture and enhance the local streetscape.
As the appointed engineers, the Gyoury Self Sussex team look forward to continuing the structural and civil engineering design and detailing work through to project completion. Work is due to start on site in early 2018.
