Gyoury Self has been working on preliminary designs for the new Worthing Integrated Care Centre in East Sussex.
Commissioned by Worthing Borough Council, the £34m new build centre combines a range of healthcare services and multi-storey car park on a single site. The state-of-the-art centre will sit alongside the town’s key public buildings, including important heritage assets, completing the ‘Civic Quarter’.
The building will be home to a broad range of services, including a large GP surgery, mental health services, community services, dentistry, and a new pharmacy.
We were appointed as sub-consultants to the architect, ArchitecturePLB, who have led an extensive consultation process involving multiple, diverse healthcare providers, to ensure the key aspiration for truly collaborative working within an integrated service model is achieved.
We provided Structural and Civil Engineering services up to the end of RIBA Stage 2, assisting Architecture PLB with development of the concept design and final project brief for business case approval.
The Worthing Integrated Care Centre (WICC) project is scheduled for completion in 2022.
